It’s that time of year again! The time to gear up for golf season, but even more importantly, to gear up for the Shaw Charity Classic – one of the largest and most successful events held in Calgary, happening this year August 28th – September 1st.

Each year, the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation, by way of their philanthropic program, Birdies for Kids, choose to sponsor a number of local charities that offer programs that focus on children and youth in Alberta. Through the Shaw Charity Classic golf tournament they engage the community and provide matching funds for each charity involved. We are extremely grateful to have been selected for the second year to be a Shaw Birdies For Kids charity! From now until the tournament, any donations made to Cinim through Shaw Birdies for Kids will be matched.

How It Works

The program is designed to help raise funds for local kids’ charities and acts as a partnership builder between donors and charities. All money will flow through the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation to selected Alberta charities. All administrative costs and efforts for the program are covered by the Shaw Charity Classic tournament. This means that 100% of all donated funds through the Foundation will be directed to Cinim.

How Does This Support Cinim?

Your generous donation will go towards financing Cinim’s work on further enhancing and expanding our award-winning youth mental health program – BreathingRoom – that directly supports youth and young adults dealing with mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression. Our goal is to make BreathingRoom available to all Canadian youth and young adults.
